Admittance, regulating authority, professional rules, insurance
The German Patent Attorneys are admitted to their profession according to German law. They are members of the Patentanwaltskammer (www.patentanwaltskammer.de) which acts as regulating authority, and are subject to professional rules laid down in the Patentanwaltsordnung and in the Berufsordnung der Patentanwälte (both to be found in the respective current version on the webpages of the Patentanwaltskammer). They are further members of the Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle and as such subject to its Code of Professional Conduct (www.ficpi.org).
The European Patent Attorneys are registered at the European Patent Office and are members of the European Patent Institute (epi; www.patentepi.com) and are subject to its Code of Professional Conduct and the Regulation on Discipline issued by the Administrative Council of the European Patent Organisation (both to be found in the respective current version on the webpages of the epi).
The European Trademark Attorneys are registered at the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market. They are subject to the rules laid down in the Council Regulation on the Community Trade Mark.
The firm has a professional liability insurance contract with Allianz Versicherungs-Aktiengesellschaft, Allianz Versicherungs-Aktiengesellschaft, Königinstraße 28, 80802 München.
